Around 25,000 homes in southeastern Queensland woke up lacking electricity on Monday morning after intense storm systems impacted the region, bringing wind gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.

Residents reported giant hailstones as large as 7cm in certain regions. Weather authorities announced that different parts across the state had been hit with large hailstones.
